Kensington

Previously on three levels, this north-facing garden benefits from the mature trees of the parkland it adjoins. Work began by taking the garden down to a single level, retaining only a Prunus lusitanica [Portuguese laurel] and a Pyrancathus tree. A Snowdonian slate water curtain with rill and collection pond sits at the heart of the garden, flanked by twinned Gaze Burvill furniture and bespoke planters. The monochromatic planting scheme uses predominantly evergreen and sculptural species to fit the client’s wish for a soothing and tranquil space.
